Mental + Spiritual + Physical Health
All 3 need to be in sync!

Why am I telling you all of this? Because there's a point, and I promise I'm getting to it.

When I was first diagnosed, I thought, "I found Jesus. I don't need my doctors anymore." Wrong.

Then I thought, "I have Jesus and my doctors. I don't need the exercise part." Wrong again.

So now I know better than to say, "I'm running and I have Jesus, so I don't need my doctor or therapist." Nope.

For me, all three matter. Faith, professional care, and physical exercise. When one gets neglected, I start to feel it.

As I was thinking about that, I couldn't help but laugh. Three things working together in harmony... that sounds a little like the Trinity, doesn't it? It made me realize something important: maybe this isn't random. Maybe it's part of how God designed us.

The real breakthrough came during a recent therapy session.

I told my therapist, "So the goal is actually pretty simple. I need to pursue everything that is mentally, spiritually, and physically healthy—and avoid, like the plague, everything that is mentally, spiritually, and physically unhealthy."

She smiled and said, "Yep."

Does that mean I'm done with therapy?

Nope.
